We love to cruise and this book was very interesting. Fun to see behind the scenes. Gave this book to the assisant CD on our last cruise and he said he had a waiting list of crew members wanting to read it. Our copy is now a permanent passenger on the Carnival Elation...

The day Permanent Passenger: My Life on a Cruise Ship showed up, I started reading it thinking it would be a nice weekend read. Well, a couple of hours later, there I sat, on the last page and begging for more! This book is great, especially for seasoned cruisers, the things you think are going on are...and then some! I don't want to spoil it, so I will leave you with that...but it is a must read for anyone who has cruised, wants to cruise, or plans to cruise.

If you are in the cruise industry, a cruiser or simply curious - this is a great, fun read! Pick this up, read the very first chapter and you will be hooked. The very first part of the book recounts the incredible persistence and pure single focus of the author - "Project Random".
In addition to being funny and light - it is a great testimony to striking out to accomplish something and letting nothing get in your way.
