Sometimes you'll see generic replacements shipped in place of the branded product. Received the Braun brand lens filter for our in-ear thermometer. Work perfectly.

If you are buying the Thermoscan Ear Thermometer, It's nice to know that these required filters (which you may or may not know you need) are of a high quality, and are not overpriced. Many times you will buy a product that needs replacement parts, and find out those parts are overpriced so the manufacturer can make a profit on the aftermarket (like humidifiers, for example). Luckily, this is not one of those products.

If you have the ear thermometer, you need the filters. So why bother reviewing the filters? Because some products like this are difficult to use, or they break easily, or they are unwieldy... These filters are easy to use, which is a blessing for parents trying to take the temperature of a baby who is sick and upset.
