Product Description:
When it comes to their personal transportation, today’s youth have shunned the large, heavy performance cars of their parents’ generation and instead embraced what has become known as the 'sport compact'--smaller, lightweight, modern sports cars of predominantly Japanese manufacture. These cars respond well to performance modifications due to their light weight and technology-laden, high-revving engines. And by far, the most sought-after and modified cars are the Hondas and Acuras of the mid-‘80s to the present. An extremely popular method of improving vehicle performance is a process known as engine swapping. Engine swapping consists of removing a more powerful engine from a better-equipped or more modern vehicle and installing it into your own. It is one of the most efficient and affordable methods of improving your vehicle’s performance.
This book covers in detail all the most popular performance swaps for Honda Civic, Accord, and Prelude as well as the Acura Integra. It includes vital information on electrics, fit, and drivetrain compatibility, design considerations, step-by-step instruction, and costs. This book is must-have for the Honda enthusiast.

Don't buy. Waste of money. Simply put. You'd be much better off getting factory service manuals if you want to do it right

The book is pretty good. A lot of help if you are a novice, wanting to do a swap on your Honda and not sure what steps will need to be taken. I personally am satisfied. I used this book a couple times to help friends with engine choices for their cars and even helped me out when I did a D16Z6 swap in a 91 Civic DX.
Very easy to understand - could be a little more detailed, but for the price, you can't complain.

Disappointing. Says is covers '84 on, but nothing on pre-'88 carb cars, other than a mention that they're orphans. Better advice on the Web for carbed cars. Disappointing.

I am a novice when it comes to engines and cars, but I can understand this book very well! And it will be one of the main things helping me out when I swap a new engine into my CRX! This book really does cover just about every swap imaginable into any chasis... Even gives u great advice on what not to do, such as swaping out a V6 Accord for an inline 4, or trying to swap a fuel injected engine into a carbed chasis... It dosnt go really into detail on the wiring, no schematics, but with the broad options on engines and ECUs, I can certainly understand why, it tells you which service manual you will need to find those in tho, it dosnt leave you hanging there... It also gives u a broad idea of whats in store labor wise, what parts you will need, what you will need to wire (dosnt show exactly where tho), shows u where to get the engine mounts, sub-harnesses, and other parts you will need along the way, and from which cars... Really a great book and I highly reccomend it to anyone who is thinking of doing a swap into their Honda/Acura!
