I never liked Green Eggs and Ham in English (or Fox in Socks either) because I found Sam so annoying. Give it up already, Sam, I don't like the blasted things! However, to my surprise I found myself really enjoying the translation into Spanish and I don't mind reading it over and over again to my kids. As a translator and conference interpreter myself, I'm delighted with the way the translators solved the rhythm transference. As a mom to bilingual children, I hope there are many more translations of English classics of the caliber of this one.

My 2 year-old loves Dr Seuss books and we decided to get this one in Spanish as we are raising him bilingual. It's very good for a translation as these books are extremely hard to translate.

i purchased go dog go for my son and he loved the spanish version. so i decided to go with purple eggs(since i have read it over 50 times)and it was not as easy to follow and the words were a little difficult to relate. i can speak a little spanish and read a little but this book left me struggling.
