Product Description:
How 'Bout Them Dawgs? In the University of Georgia Football Vaultâ„¢, Bulldog radio network announcer Loran Smith explores the prolific 115 year of history of his beloved Dawgs. With exhilarating stories, remarkable images, and memorabilia for UGA's diverse, historic archives, Smith's approach to the Bulldog story demonstrates his deep appreciation of the sports program that has been an integral part of his life for over 40 years. The University of Georgia Football Vault â„¢ provides fans with their own personal scrapbook bursting with dozens of rarely seen reproduction memorabilia from Georgia's glory days. An 1894 poster advertising of UGA's earliest games, a Georgia-Yale program postcard from Sanford Stadium's 1929 dedicatory game, a crimson-and-black, felt stadium pennant from the 1960's, a sheaf of season tickets from the 1980 National Championship year, and a bumper sticker celebrating the 2002 SEC Championship - all this and much more are waiting to be discovered in the pages of the University of Georgia Football Vault â„¢. Illustrated; Hardcover

I love all the "Vault" books -- it is a great series, and the SEC titles are all well worth the investment for hardcore fans of specific teams, which is why I recommend this book to any Georgia Bulldogs fan. I bought it for my dad as a birthday gift, and because this book literally is a vault of great Georgia football memories we spent hours in conversation reliving many of our favorite moments. In that respect, well worth the investment -- but this is a coffee table book, too, and pricey. There are a lot of good Georgia books on the market right now and if it is the history of the program you want in a quick, easy but entertaining read, I suggest you check out this new title I just read this past week: UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA FOOTBALL: An Interactive Guide to the World of Sports (Sports by the Numbers)

Bought this for my dad, what a great book. It contains an amazing history
of UGA football and has fun tidbits tucked inside like a scrapbook.
I'd recommend this for any UGA fan that "has everything". This is one item they are sure to love.

What do you keep in a vault? Treasures? Well, this vault contains treasures for the Bulldog fan! I bought three of these and the recipients were very happy with the gift! Loren Smith is a well-known Georgia 'landmark' and has been Larry Munson's sideline sidekick for years. I can still hear Larry Munson saying, "How about it, Loren?" He has compiled a wonderful collection to bring the history of Georgia football alive for all who read it. Thanks, Loren!
