Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - Very good
Complete treatment of the many german secret weapons. Not so deep description, but I believe complete, including canons, rockets, air and earth based projects. Outstanding illustration.

Rated by buyers 1 out of 5 stars - WHAT secrets? You'll have to look elsewhere....
If you are expecting to learn anything new about German secret weapons then forget this book. Everything in it has been covered before countless times in other books dating back 40 years. Anyone with a moderate knowledge of the subject could have written this over a slow afternoon. Save your money and put it towards any of the other similar boos available at Amazon.com.

Rated by buyers 3 out of 5 stars - Light and dry
I was hoping for some interesting analysis and insight into the German weapons program, but alas, what I got instead was a fairly superficial chronology delivered in a just-the-facts-ma'am style. This book is pretty dry and unengaging as a result. There is so much more that could have been said about the legacy that German technology left to the world, particularly to the scientific and military communities. The potential of these WWII technologies often wasn't fully realized until years later. High-performance jet aircraft, the Soviet and American space programs and precision machining were all benefactors of the German research and development that took place during WWII. It would have been nice to get a deeper perspective on this aspect of the weapons effort, but this book doesn't deliver it. Too bad. If it weren't for the pictures, I'd have rated this book even lower.

Rated by buyers 4 out of 5 stars - Unfortunatly...
I am quite happy that I can find a book about German secret weapons on air, sea and land.

Unfortunatly this book major focus on well known secret weapons like V1, V2 ME262... etc and near 50% of materials are talking about air weapons. The other like Air-Air-Missile, Ground-Air-Missile, Anti-Tank and Tank section only have some brief information. For some secret weapons, there is only text description available (sometimes quite brief) but without any plan draft or design drawing.

Finialy, I don't agree that they put Tiger I and II as secret weapons. E100 tank is only described in few paragraphs and the other E series tanks are not covered.

Also the infra-red weapons that used by German is not covered. I am very disappointed about this.

I think the editor has tried his best. But I really waiting for another book which has more detail. In my opinions, this book is elementary level and good for all kind of people whom has not heard about secret weapons in before.

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Awesome Reading for History Buffs.
This book gives a great synopsis on how Germany were light years in the area in developing the very first jet fighters and inter-continental ballistic missiles. The best part of the book is on how Germany develpoed the very first "stealth" bomber. In fact, the developers of our stealth aircraft used the Horten design. I would think that these wonder weapons would be used against Allied forces in force if the war dragged on into 1946. I strongly suggest that you buy this book if you are very interested in the orgins of our current technology.
