This board book provides a nice "hands-on" learning opportunity. Kids love cars (and other vehicles) and having a story about one of their toys keeps their interest. A great series if you want more than just a toy!
The story-line follows the street sweeper in cleaning up after a fair. The toy contains moving parts. As a bonus, toddlers can look through the book to recognize shapes and colors "hidden" in the pages.

My son loves this book. There is a matchbox model of a streetsweeper that accompanies the book. He holds the sweeper while we read the book. There is a simple rhyming repetition on each page which is fun to read. The story tells how the sweeper cleans up after a street fair. It also shows the different parts of the sweeper and the child can find them on the sweeper model. The back page is for parents, and offers suggestions of how to look for different shapes as you go through the book, as well as around your home surroundings. I highly recommend this book, but you must be very observant of your children if they are under 3, because of the small parts on the sweeper.
