Product Description:
It's no ordinary Thursday for Marvin Redpost and his class...
It's 'hole day,' and even Mrs. North and Principal McCabe are wearing their very worst clothes. It seemed like a fun idea that morning, but now they're expecting company. The president -- of the United States! -- is on his way. And there's no time to change! Marvin must do math on the blackboard with television cameras pointed at him. And the day is just beginning!

The book I read was Marvin Redpost it is written by Louis Sachar. I think this book deserves four stars. I think it gets this many stars because it had great details it would have gotten five stars if it had been longer and it sounded like there could have been more added to this story. This book is about the President of the United States visiting Marvin's class. The problem in this story is that Marvin's classmate steals his question and Marvin was next. I recommend this book to kids that like to read stuff like a kid's journal.

Marvin Redpost is a third-grader at Dogwood Elementary School. This week has been a specialweek at Dogwood Elementary. Everyday they have worn something outrageous such as socks that do not match, and yesterday is "hole day". Every one, including the teacher and principal,is wearing clothes with holes in them. The only problem is that there is going to be a suprise visit from the President of the United States.
This is a great chapter book for beginning readers. Even though the language is simple,LouisSachar makes an interesting and humorous tale that young readers will enjoy. Marvin Redpost and the other kids in Mrs. North's third-grade class are characters that almost any young reader will identify with and enjoy reading about.
