Ugly illustrations -- for most (but not all) of the characters, the artist made the off-putting choice to colour their eyeballs yellow, giving them a sickly, jaundiced look. The look and feel are cheap, the writing seems like it was done in half an hour at most. No child deserves this cruddy of a book when there are so many better books for children in the world.
