Product Description:
This is the definitive full-colour guide to the international fleet of sailing ships. This newly revised fourth edition combines photographs and descriptions of more than 200 vessels, including the major class 'A' ships along with many class 'B' and 'C' vessels from around the world. Major photographs of each are supplemented by detailed images that range from figureheads and binnacles to flags and rigging. The text describes each vessel, its history and notable events under sail, along with its technical specifications. This unique guide is an ideal resource for everyone fascinated by tall ships and their history and traditions.

Great book with lots of photos, but not all that revised or up to date if you have the 2002 third edition. New photos of some that were needed, but still missing some of the newer boats (eg Sultana). Given the rate of change within the tall ship community it's a noble effort and well worth the price.

The hardcover makes an awesome addition to my library. It is beautifully bond in cloth material and the pages have gold edges. This book is full of wonderful photos and detailed descriptions of each of the ships in the book. I am very happy have it in my collection.

The book is full of wonderful photos and detailed descriptions of each of the ships in the book. The paperpack makes a nice companion guide for any OpSail 2000 enthusiast. It is portable, yet nice enough to keep on the coffee table.
