My son studied this book for 10 hours. His practice tests at home were in the 50s. But he passed the test with a 72 (one of the reading selections on the real test was from this preparation book!) This was the only book he used, and it worked!

This book is good practice for the CLEP. Do not be concerned if you get a lot wrong, the CLEP test is easier. Also, if you want to save money, this book is alsmost identical to the SAT II: Subject Test Literature except the SAT book is 17.00 instead of 26.00. The most important part is reading the detailed answers, it will help you see what your thinking should be

I studied for about 2 weeks when 1 week would have sufficed. While it was deffinitely overkill with all the information that they provide you with. It definitely prepares you well for the test. If you are looking for an easy 6 credits - I highly recommend using this book for review.

I passed the CLEP exam with a 64. If I had followed the instructions in the book and studied the recommended 6-weeks I would have scored much higher. Instead I waited until the last minute and only studied for a few hours over a period of 2 days. That said I would NEVER have been able to pass the exam without this book. The practice exams were the most helpful. If you want to pass this CLEP exam I highly recommend you purchase this book.
