Rated by buyers 3 out of 5 stars - You Can Never Go Home Again
Not so long ago I read this book, and I liked it so much. That book was about a girl named Angel. Her family was going through a divorce, and she had to move with her mother and brother to another home. But a ghost occupied the home. The ghost's name was BJ. He was a 19-year-old boy, and had been killed many years ago by a motorcycle accident after he robbed a store. Only two people in the world could see him, Angel and her brother.
That book showed me how people with opposite characters could help each other. Both Angel and BJ felt so lonely and they helped each other a lot. BJ helped Angel to forget her past life and try to build new one. Angel helped BJ to feel the world again and try to have fun and not be so lonely. While I read that book I always felt that BJ was real, because he acted like a real person, thought like a real person, and at the same time I understood that BJ was a ghost because people couldn't see him. I felt really sorry for him because I think it is really hard to be a ghost, and I don't understand why he was still living in this world. I think something held him here and I'll try to figure out about that when I'll read the second book about that story, called Save The Last Dance For Me.
I recommend this book for all people who love ghost stories and who love romantic stories because this book is really romantic too.

You Can Never Go Home Again by Dyan Sheldon is about a girl, Angel, and her famliy that split up,and she's forced to move. The house they move into is occupied by the ghost of a young boy name BJ. He lives in the attic and the only person who knows about him is Angel's little brother. Dyan Sheldon uses strong descriptive and visual words that make you feel like the ghost is standing subsequent to you while you are reading. Anyone who enjoys books about ghosts and suspense must read You Can Never Go Home Again. I give it five stars!

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - Haunted dreams 1
I very first read this book back in 1995 and over the years I must have re-read it about ten times. I fell in love with BJ (who with his tortured life cannot fail to remind you of James Dean) while I felt sympathy and annoyance for Angel. Dyan Sheldon has clearly created the perfect characters with Angel and BJ. They are two lonely souls that are lumbered together. They do not know it but they are the only ones that can help eachother. This is a story about forgetting the past and moving onto the future and I cannot reccomend it enough.

Rated by buyers 3 out of 5 stars - James Dean fans will adore this...
And for anyone else, try watching 'Rebel Without A Cause' first. BJ is the highlight of the story for me. OK, so he's dead, but not only is he still gorgeous but he is very, very funny. I felt the plot surrounding his death was rather underdeveloped, but the author was spot on with her portrayal of the outsider in a teen world.

So you think this sounds a great read maybe? It is. It's not challenging by any stretch of the imagination, nor is it the best written book I have ever had the pleasure to peruse, and in five years you won't think back and say, 'Now there was a damn fine book', but if you like rebellious boys and seeing slightly too cocky and selfcentred teenage girls getting taken down a peg or two, this is perfection.

I liked it because it didn't pretend to be something it wasn't, and it recognised that it would never be anything greater. It was also packed with very funny jokes. If you don't like BJ, demand your money back. I seriously doubt the returns will be great though.

Are you ready for some fun? This is it. One silly, hilarious, quiet afternoon book that you may not re-read quickly, but you will still enjoy.

PS - if you really enjoy this, you could try LJ Smith's vampire trash classic 'The Vampire Diaries'. (Can you tell I'm a closet trash supernatural fiction addict? If not, damn, I'll have to start over...)

Rated by buyers 5 out of 5 stars - An excellent mix of teenage anger & ghost story
This book was packed with emotion! It always leaves you guessing what is going to happen next. There is never a dull moment. It really makes you think about divorce & moving on. I'd recommend this book to any young adult.
