Product Description:
From the memoirs of WheelchairJunkie.com Editor, Mark E. Smith, comes this full-throttle collection of short stories. Smith’s true tales like 'Racing for Pink Slips,' 'Selling the Infirmed,' and 'Drinking with Henry Rollins,' dive into the depths of disability experience – raw, revealing, and raucous. From parenting to partying like a rock star, this collection is an inspired portrait of not just living with disability, but truly living.
Maybe you’ve read Smith’s childhood autobiography, Growing Up With Cerebral Palsy (WRS Publishing, 1995), or were inspired by his contributing authorship in the Chicken Soup for the Soul best-selling series. Or, maybe you’ve followed his infamous career via WheelchairJunkie.com and countless articles in publications ranging from New Mobility to Malevolence to the San Francisco Chronicle. In any case, Too Fast is Mark E. Smith to the core, with never-before-published pieces, intertwined with selected classics like 'Flirting with Fame,' roaring through a life of wild wonderment and uninhibited disability.
Whether you’re among the tens-of-thousands of Smith’s monthly readers, or new to his empowered journey through disability, Too Fast is the literary equivalent of rocket fuel for life. Buckle your seatbelt, and grab this book.

Mark E. Smith's book "Too Fast" is a fascinating personal glimpse into a world seldom seen to an able bodied person. Humorous as well as profound he succeeds in showing the reader life doesn't stop or hang in limbo just because people have become disabled. Human beings exist well beyond their limitations as the author clearly outlines and defines life with limitations, except to him there are no limitations. People have goals that can be attained at any level in life, and that the disabled are as he says multi-dimensional.
The author draws from his own life experiences and his obvious gift of story telling make this book a delight to read. But the most important aspect of this expertly written book is that he has a lesson to learn from. If anyone has ever lost their way, all anyone needs to do is follow his power wheelchair wheel tracks.
