By far, this is not one of the episodes I enjoyed most in the series;and if you are new to it,it isn't typical. The storyline is very weak and it drags on and on;and most of the time just doesn't get anywhere. There are quite a number of characters, but none particularly interesting. The author spins page after page of things that he just seems to toss in;until he finally gets around to wraping it all up. If you enjoy these little sidelines, like operating a dairy, coal mining and unions, how the army buys horses,Harvey's restaurant policies, authenticity and making of arrowheads, detonating dynamite, and on and on like glimpses from an Old West Encyclopedia;maybe it's all right. But, if you liking is, fast-action adventure with a definite storyline and not a glorified mystery that takes a chapter or so at the end to unravel;you are going to be glad when it is finally over.
The image shown here for this episode is for Longarm and the Montana Madmen #308 in the series.
The cover of This episode,#304 bears little to no resemblence to the story. It even shows some owlhoot? hanging out of a church belfry;not even mentioned in the story. It's anybody's guess who the other characters are,and no indication whatsoever of the milk train.
Overall, pretty much of a disappointment ,to me anyway.
