Editor's Notes and Comments:
Product Description:
Henry is very proud of his shiny purple coat. He doesn’t like to get dirty or wet, because it makes his coat dull and spotty. One day, when it starts to rain, he refuses to come out of a tunnel, leaving his passengers stranded. Sir Topham Hatt decides that Henry has a lot to learn about being a Really Useful Engine.
This classic story, originally by the Reverend W Awdry, has been adapted to appeal to the reader who is just beginning to read. Includes simple but fun language as well as building, writing, and drawing activities.

I bought this for my two year old son, a huge fan of Thomas books. I think Henry and the Elephant and Thomas Goes Fishing are better story books than this for the younger crowd. This book included worksheets and fill in the blank pages. It would probably be a good book for a newly established reader.
One final thought: Henry doesn't want to do something so is bricked in his tunnel as a consequence. Kinda weird, don't you think?
